"McGinnis has pulled another rip-roaring page-turner out of his hat," Ben Strat After the recent near-destruction of the USS Hamilton, Captain Galvin Quintos has been lying low, getting the USS Jefferson ready for service. In the midst of refurbishing the vessel, he gets a call for help from his former XO, new starship captain Gail Pristy. The Varapin have lured the 9th Fleet into a devious trap, and it’s not long before Quintos has his orders to hurry to the rescue. But the Varapin have a colossal new warship—one that puts anything the US Space-Navy has to shame. Even after Quintos assembles a crew, he’ll still need to pull a few rabbits, along with a few Symbio Poths, out of a hat to have any chance of surviving the coming battle. And Quintos’ one last hope—reuniting with a past enemy—may prove as dangerous as fighting the Varapin themselves. Reviews: Another excellent installment in the USS Hamilton series. I really enjoyed the science-fiction aspects of this book. The book also has good character development and growth. There is plenty of action, humor, and enough twist interns to keep the reader interested. As far as the growth of the characters is concerned there is an interplay between them that you want to see develop. I personally like anything to do with transported technology that’s why I’ve always enjoyed reading Mr. McGinnis military scifi books. Spaceships, artificial lifeforms, dragons, how much more could you ask for. Great book, great series.-Lcashless 1. Science Fiction's New Golden Age is Now Mark Wayne McGinnis has outdone himself with this series. I couldn't stop reading all of the Hamilton/Jefferson books, and I have always been left wanting more. The entire spectrum of human emotion can be found in these characters, who are flawed and struggling, but ultimately indomitable. Thank you, Mr. McGinnis, for all that you do. I owe you more reviews, this much is certain.-Jack Byrne Excellent Space Opera/another excellent read As far as space opera goes, this series is at the forefront of the pack. That Quintos remained among the officer ranks and not downright booted out is what science fiction is all about. His feats of heroism aside, it takes heroic creativity by the author to layout off-world scenarios to make them seem plausible. I, for one, certainly hope to see how our hero manages his new questionable career. Is it safe to say "stay tuned??"-Kindle Customer Action and excitement MWM has done it again. In his latest military scifi story, you are pulled right into the characters and eventually the action. It starts a little slow as Captain Galvin Quintos is pretty much alone trying to repair his 'new' ship the Jefferson after losing the Hamilton. He will face long odds as the book progresses but with his doing it my way style you know he will make it. Looking forward to the next book.-Trudi Fun space opera series and a solid book I like to think that there are a lot of different species out in the galaxy and inverse. This book is fun as it explores some of those possibilities while giving me that action that I like in my Science fiction reading. You’ll be glad you got the first book, and you’ll be happy when you read through this series! I can’t put them down!-Botmaker Better than Star Trek or Star Wars Captain Kirk and throw out the good boy and you get Captain Quintos. It's a rocking adventure told by an expert tall tale-teller, Mark Wayne McGinnis and sci do fans are going to love it.-Kindle Customer Great Military Scifi/I want more. This man can write. The action, the humor, the realness of the people portrayed is so awesome. Outstanding is small praise for this author. Can’t wait for the next installment of any of his books. Try one, you’ll see.-Duain Buck
